John: Hello everyone, and welcome back to Mr. English Podcast — the place where you can improve your English through real conversations.
Jessica: Hi everyone! If you're new here, make sure to follow the podcast and share it with a friend who is learning English.
John: Today we’re talking about something fun and excitingtraveling and talking about your trips.
Jessica: Yes! Travel is one of the most common things people talk about when meeting friends, coworkers, or even new people.
John: Exactly. People often ask questions like where did you go, how was your trip, and what did you do there?
Jessica: So today we’ll have a natural conversation about our travel experiences and share some personal stories.
John: Alright, let’s start. Jessica, have you traveled anywhere interesting recently?
Jessica: Actually yes! Last month I took a short trip to Da Nang with a few friends.
John: Oh nice! I’ve heard Da Nang is beautiful. Was it your first time there?
Jessica: Yes, it was my first time. I had seen so many pictures online, but honestly the real place was even more beautiful.
John: What did you do there?
Jessica: Well, on the first day we went straight to the beach. The weather was warm but not too hot, and the ocean was really calm.
John: That sounds perfect.
Jessica: It really was. We spent almost the entire afternoon walking along the beach, talking, and watching the sunset.
John: Sunsets at the beach are always amazing.
Jessica: Yes! And something funny happened actually.
John: Oh really?
Jessica: One of my friends tried to take a beautiful photo of the sunset, but a big wave suddenly came and splashed water everywhere.
John: Let me guess… the phone almost got wet?
Jessica: Exactly! We were all laughing and running away from the water.
John: Those little moments are usually the best memories from trips.
Jessica: That’s true. The next day we visited Ba Na Hills and walked across the Golden Bridge.
John: The famous bridge with the giant stone hands?
Jessica: Yes! When you see it in pictures it looks impressive, but when you stand there in person it feels even more special.
John: How was the view?
Jessica: The view was breathtaking. The mountains were covered in clouds, and it almost felt like we were walking in the sky.
John: Wow, that sounds incredible.
Jessica: It really was. And we tried a lot of local food too.
John: Of course! Traveling is always about exploring new food.
Jessica: Yes! I tried Mi Quang for the first time.
John: Oh that dish is famous in central Vietnam.
Jessica: Yes, and it was delicious.
John: What about you? Have you had any memorable trips?
John: Actually yes. One of my favorite trips was when I traveled to Japan a few years ago.
Jessica: Oh wow! That must have been amazing.
John: It really was. I visited Tokyo and Kyoto, and the experience was completely different from anything I had seen before.
Jessica: What surprised you the most?
John: Probably how clean and organized everything was.
Jessica: I’ve heard that too.
John: Even the subway stations were incredibly clean, and people were very polite.
Jessica: What did you do in Tokyo?
John: One of my favorite memories was simply walking through the city at night.
Jessica: Why at night?
John: Because the city lights were beautiful, and there were so many small restaurants and street food stalls.
Jessica: Did you try Japanese street food?
John: Of course! I tried ramen, takoyaki, and sushi.
Jessica: Now you’re making me hungry.
John: The ramen was so good that I went back to the same restaurant two nights in a row.
Jessica: That must have been a good sign.
John: Definitely.
Jessica: Did anything unexpected happen on that trip?
John: Actually yes. One day I got completely lost in Tokyo.
Jessica: Oh no.
John: But instead of panicking, I just started walking and exploring the streets.
Jessica: That sounds like an adventure.
John: It really was. I discovered a small neighborhood full of local shops and quiet cafes.
Jessica: Sometimes getting lost leads to the best discoveries.
John: Exactly. That’s one of the things I love about traveling.
Jessica: If you could travel anywhere next year, where would you go?
John: Hmm… I think I’d like to visit Italy.
Jessica: Good choice.
John: I’d love to see Rome, Florence, and Venice, and of course try authentic Italian pizza.
Jessica: That sounds like the perfect trip.
John: What about you?
Jessica: I think I’d like to visit New Zealand someday.
John: Really? Why New Zealand?
Jessica: Because the nature there looks incredible — mountains, lakes, and huge open landscapes.
John: Yes, it looks like something from a movie.
Jessica: Exactly. I think it would be the perfect place for hiking and exploring.
John: Traveling really gives us unforgettable experiences and memories.
Jessica: Yes, and it’s also a great way to learn about new cultures and meet people from around the world.
John: Thanks for listening to Mr. English Podcast.
Jessica: And we’ll see you in the next episode!
